- Great bag, great price: I use this to store my Nikon D-50 with 18-55mm zoom lens. Fits perfectly with room for cables and filters or a battery in the front pocket. Handy zipper compartment inside the top is perfect for my remote shutter controller and spare memory cards. If you need a utility case to transport the basics, this bag is a great choice.
- Fits Nikon D40 with 18-55 lens but not 55-200: I purchased this bag based on the review which states it fits a Nikon D40 with either the 18-55 kit lens or the 55-200 zoom lens. This is certainly not true, as I would have to seriously squish the camera, remove the strap and force the zipper for the case to fit the camera with my 55-200 VR lens. If you are looking for a bag that will fit both, I would bump up to the TZ 1 rather than the mini. The quality of this bag is excellent as expected from Lowepro, but unfortunately, now I'll have to purchase a second bag for when I want to use my zoom lens.
- Great mini-bag: Lowepro makes great inexpensive camera bags and the Topload Zoom Mini is exceptionally well designed. Very sturdy construction and a decent amount of padding without making it bulky. The non-slip surface under the top of the shoulder strap does well at keeping it on your shoulder. I love that the top of the bag opens away from me for easy access to the camera and protects me from dropping it as I'm trying to put it back in. The front compartment has plenty of room for extra batteries and even a couple of filters. This is the perfect bag for roaming around the Smoky Mountains taking photos on the trail.
By the way, one other review stated that this bag was a perfect fit for their Fuji S9100. No, no, no!!! I have an S9100 and getting it in this bag requires that I wriggle, push, and STUFF it in. Way too tight. Made me very nervous that I would damage my camera trying to get it back out.
HOWEVER, this bag was perfect for my Fuji S5100, a considerably smaller zoom camera. Guess that's why Lowepro calls this a "mini zoom" bag. The next bigger size of this bag is a fantastic fit for my S9100 with plenty of room but not too much. If you're debating between the two bags compare the size of your camera to these two Fuji cameras and let that be your guide. Great bag, no fear.......... - Excellent fit!: I bought this bag for my Nikon D40 and I couldn't be happier with it. My camera fits into the bag perfectly (with the kit lens) and the extra pocket on the front is great. I thought the bag was very reasonably priced. Overall, a great buy!
- Nice fit for Nikon D40 kit: I bought this to have a light compact bag to carry my Nikon D40 with the kit 18-55mm lens. For the price I can have no complaints. The padding is not terribly thick, I would not want to drop it in this bag for instance, but should protect it fron slight bumps and scratches. Good choice if you only have the one lens and want to avoid the bigger bags.
