• Excellent Teacher, well done video: I based my purchase on the reviews of some of the other buyers, and since I agree with them in substance, I'll be brief. Keith Wyatt (the instructor) is indeed clear, well spoken, and precise in both his technical descriptions and his suggestions for application of the skills he discusses. However, the other reviews don't mention that he's just a likeable guy. He's sincere and approachable, without being nerdy or sappy.
  
  He comes across as someone who's played more than his share of concerts, who's sat in countless studios, and who has never stopped learning his craft for even a single day. He's just a cool dude.

• Great for Self-Starters: After reading the good reviews of this product, I decided to purchase it before I started private lessons. I had tried other means to teach myself-online lessons (not worth the cost), several podcasts and other videos-but this has been the best so far. The host is personable but not cheezy, and the dvd is well-organized. The pacing is a bit fast but you can always stop and repeat if need be. I still plan on taking private lessons; nothing replaces hands-on teaching, in my opinion, but this dvd is still good for anyone who is looking to get started with the basics. Best beginnger dvd on the market!
