- Great noise-cancelling clear mic: I had to turn the sensitivity to max, but this mic picks up clearly 20 inches away. I even have a loud fan in my room; I was impressed it was able to filter that out. I found it great for Skype and gaming. It sounds as good as any of the 4 other headsets/mics I've bought.
My only complaint is minor, the LEDs are kind of annoying. I'd rather have a physical switch than another thing on my desk that's glowing. - Great gaming mic.: I haven't used this microphone for recording so I'm not sure of it's performance there. I have, however, used it for gaming and it carries my voice across clearly and has various sensitivity settings which is nice. Overall, I recommend this microphone!
- Basic mic, works fine with some disclaimers: Overall, this is a good basic USB mic. Pretty much just plug it in and go. The only downside I've had is that I've needed to boost the mic volume all the way and keep the mic much closer to me than I expected for it to pick up my voice at a decent volume for Ventrilo. I don't speak very loudly to begin with and my voice is a bit on the low end of the frequency range, so this mic isn't the most ideal for me. A headset, where the mic is closer to my mouth works much better in my case.
On the up side, the mic does filter out a lot of noise, like fans from your computer, etc. So it produces a clean sound. - Super Duper Microphone: Ok, so... You can't record an album using this mic. It won't get your on American Idol or put you in Simon's good graces....
But for the price and value, it cannot be beat. It is literally as simple as plug and play... No drivers or disk to mess with.
The mute button is also especially handy for voice chat.
I really thought the reviews were too good to be true for a simple USB mic, but this one lives up to its 5-star reviews. - Super Clear: This mic has great clarity, easy to use, and has no static background in the recordings. Just plug it in and use. We use it to record voice messages for our business phone system. The mic makes it sound very professional. And for the price, you can't beat it.
