Customer Reviews:

  • Works for me: I live in a small place and I use this bag to organize my cameras and accessories. For an upcoming 4000 mile roadtrip I will keep the pack on the passenger seat which will give me quick access to my gear while at the same time protecting it from damage and separating it from what inevitably will become the chaos of my car interior.

Some have complained about how well this product holds up when used for its intended purpose of carrying it on your back. Truth is I've never even tried it on my back. If I wanted to take all the gear on the trail, I'd likely just put the pack into my larger REI day pack which is as durable and rugged as they come.

The cords on the back are to carry a tripod. Also there's a zipper compartment under the cords that's perfect for safe-keeping of operating manuals. My biggest camera is an SLR with a zoom lens. At the top of the pack's interior there's a perfect size spot for it.

It's a nice looking product if you care about such things and the price is right, though when I bought mine 7 months ago Amazon's price was $32.15, almost a third less. It's made in Korea, so the price surge may reflect the sinking dollar.
  • Excellent Bag: I am so pleased with this camera bag. After purchasing a few others only to be disappointed I have finally found the perfect bag for me. I have room for my Canon XSi body with the 18-35 lens attached. I also have room for 3 other lens, my flash ring, extension tubes, lens hood & cleaning kit. I can expand the front of the bag to accomodate my 100-400 lens as well. I love the fact the bag opens from the top thus avoiding the chance for the lenses to fall out. I rate this bag as excellent!
  • A great, inexpensive bag: I looked for quite some time for a camera back that would handle an SLR with a zoom lens, but didn't want to spend $150. This bag is an amazing deal. It's very light, so it adds nearly nothing to the overall weight, and distributes it well. It is well-organized, with more pockets than I currently have need for. The camera & lens sits at the top of the bag, so it's very easy to pull out the camera when you need it, as well as to replace it, no matter which lens I have mounted.
  • EXCELLENT VALUE!!!: This is a great pack for the price. Most aftermarket backpacks are over $100 but at this price nothing can compare. Plenty of room for my meager setup so might not be the thing for professionals but for me it's perfect! Until I get more stuff....
  • Canon 200EG Camera Bag: This is a nice Camera Bag and It's certainly priced right. It holds everything that I need to take with me when I want to take everything.

However, when I put my DSLR and battery grip in the bag at the top, I do not have the feeling that my investment is being adequately protected. I has a velcro strap to place across the lens opening but that still didn't make me feel good. If you're putting a small DSLR w/o grip, it may do the job adequately. but, not for me.
