Customer Reviews:
- Misleading Description...: I purchased this Headset along with my Panasonic kx-TS105B Phone system and it did not work, All I heard was high pitched feedback and static. After looking on the package for technical information(which there is none) I noticed in the top right corner of the package, It states it is for Cordless Phones. On Amazon.com it just states its a handsfree headset you can connect to a 2.5mm jack and does not state for corded or cordless phones.
Please ask questions regarding descriptions when ordering headsets for corded systems.
PANASONIC KX-TCA92 Comfort-Fit Hands-free Headset with Fold Design KX-TCA92 - Very Good Headset: This is by far the best headset I've found so far, and I've tried out half a dozen. I've owned mine for half a year, and am impressed enough that I'm buying a second one for the office.
Positives:
-Very good sound quality in both directions (and I'm rather picky about sound clarity, as I work with clients over the phone on a daily basis).
-Comfortable fit, with a cushioned earpiece and curved headrest (my head is a bit smaller than average, so I can't say how it would feel on someone else).
-The fold up design works surprisingly well, easily snapping into place.
-Volume control and mute button (which has to be held while muting).
-Low price.
Negatives:
-The volume level is a bit low.
-Having to hold in the mute button can be inconvenient.
Other headsets I've tried do not come close in terms of clear sound, though some are louder. This is a very good buy. - Why didn't I buy one of these earlier?: I am involved in a lot of conference calls, and have been so over the last few years. I cannot believe that it has taken me this long to purchase this necessary accessory. The fit is very comfortable and is easily adjustable so that it sits securely on my head. I also like the fact that I can alternate sides (the mouse piece can swing either way). I am glad that I went with the model with the mute button so that I can keep my young daughter from joining in the conversation. Now I use the device with talking with friends and family. I keep the cordless phone (or cell phone) in my pocket so as to keep my hands free so I can "get something done" while connecting with loved ones. Needless to say, my neck certainly feels a lot better...
- Panasonic KX-TCA92: A very good product. Fits my phone and is comfortable to use. Mute button requires you to hold the button down -- would be better if it clicked on and off. Otherwise, a good product.
- Panasonic KX-TCA92 Hands-Free Headset: I was given a Hands-Free Phone with no headset. I looked through a lot of adds online. I picked this one because I thought it would do the best job. The ear piece could use some work. Does not set on the ear, but to the side. The over head band is hard to adjust. Could be because it folds up. I did want a noise canceling mic, but did not need volume control, or mute. They are on the phone. It seams to me that I should have gotten a cheeper model, or a different brand name. This one is a problem to use. It sounds good, and mic picks up good.
