Album Description: The fun songs here are timeless classics that appeal to kids of all ages. By featuring childhood favorites such as "Old McDonald" and "The Muffin Man," both sung by Ella Fitzgerald, as well as more offbeat songs ("Mumbles" by Oscar Peterson featuring Clark Terry), Jazz for Kids makes for a great way to teach youngsters about jazz and swing music as well as some of its most legendary performers. The kid-tested collection (children, nieces and nephews of Verve Records' staff helped make the final selections) also includes "Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens" by Louis Jordan and His Tympany Five, "Chicken Rhythm" also by Slim Gaillard, and Blossom Dearie's "Doop-Doo-De-Doop (A Doodlin' Song)." Jazz for Kids finishes with an inspiring lesson and uplifting message for both youngsters and adults alike in the form of Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World." As Jazz for Kids makes little girls and boys dance, smile, giggle and ask for more, it is finally a children's album that their parents won't mind listening to again, and again, and again, and again...

- My kids love it: This is a great CD! My kids ask to hear the CD and sing along with it whenever we get into the car. It's a really good introduction of jazz for young kids because it is lively and fun. The very first song is "Old MacDonald" and this is way more fun the traditional style. The song choices are good, one of the songs was used in the kids movie Madagascar. Excellent CD!
- Kid's jazz and swing from the '40s by the greats: These are '40's jazz and swing selections by the original top musicians and singers, like Ella Fitzgerald, Lionel Hampton, and Louis Armstrong, that just happen to be children's songs. Includes a jolly unknown treasure called "Potato Chips", and Armstrong's heartbreakingly beautiful "Wonderful World". Good remasters.
- Great for kids and adults!!!: We love to put this CD on at dinner time. It's great music for kids and adults. My husband even loves this CD and he usually can't stand any kids music. A very good buy.
- Jazz for Kids: This is indeed a wonderful CD. The music is lively, fun, and novel. The songs are ones that can't help but bring a smile and laughs. The whole family really loves to hear this CD, we find our self's singing along, while my Grandson just dances and laughs and truely enjoys it.
- FANTASTIC CD: This CD is great to listen to with your little ones. The songs are fun and not too annoying for adults.
