Album Description: The emergence of North Carolinian Randy Travis heralded a sea change in contemporary country. The true pioneer of the hugely popular new traditionalist movement, Travis helped reconnect the genre with its roots. His 1986 debut, Storms Of Life, delivered two #1 singles and became country's first-ever multiplatinum album. Getting back to basics never felt so good, and Travis remained country’s dominant voice for years- "Forever And Ever, Amen," from '87's Always & Forever , launched a run of seven consecutive country chart-toppers. He hit #1 most recently in '03 with the award-winning "Three Wooden Crosses," and he remains indisputably, one of country's all-time superstars.

thank you - Great country music: My first Randy Travis CD. I've heard his songs on the internet radio station I listen to at work. This CD has a bunch of great country classics. I'm very happy with my purchase. Give it a try.
- Just a joy: I went to the latest National Treasurer movie and enjoyed the scene where the Nicholas Cage character meets up with the President at Mt. Vernon. At the festive occasion a band is playing and they show a clip of Randy Travis singing a catchy song. I went to the store and looked for the song from the movie. What a surprise to find song after song on this album that really hit home. I never was a country music fan but Randy Travis has me listening - at least to him. I'll get more albums. What a pure talent. Thanks for the joy.
- Randy Travis : His music is wonderful and what a success story for both he and his manager!
