Our beautiful son Adam was abducted from a mall in a nice area of South Florida. Sadly, two weeks into the biggest search for a child ever in Florida, our son was found murdered. In my quest to find justice and fight back for victims, I lobbied Congress to change the laws and to change how police search for missing children. We only need to think about what we've seen in the past year--pedophiles in the clergy, Internet predators, and others who are in positions to take advantage of children's trust in them--to know that kids are still being victimized at an alarming rate. I hope that's about to change. As a crime fighter and host of a popular TV program that has saved lives, I'm proud to be teaming up with a woman who knows how to teach children. - good to know: Our 3-1/2 yr old boy watches this movie (with a parent) and loves it. It has good information for children about knowing who is safe, (safety adults mom-dad) and who may not be. It has changed our homes routine by not allowing him to run to the front door anytime someone knocks or the door bell rings. He's still very young to understand the entire movie but it has help with his eagerness towards strangers!!
- Excellent Safety DVD: This DVD is a great companion to the first safe side DVD. It portrays situations in which kids can be exposed to different online situations that are not appropriate, the creepy way those situations can make kids feel and the right thing to do to prevent and handle those situations. My kids love the safe side super chick and all the lessons she teaches, it is serious with enough silliness and gets the point across loud and clear. This DVD series keeps my kids attention because it describes real world situations but keeps a sense of humor going, too. I couldn't be more pleased.
- Great video!!!: This video is just what we were looking for to talk about strangers. The creators made a serious topic fun... which keeps a kids interest. Both my husband and I watched the video with our kids (4-1/2 & 6) and paused the video at certain points to either reiterate a point, ask a question or just to make sure everyone understood. For the rest of the weekend, the kids only wanted to watch this video.
- a must to open the avenue of discussion about strangers!!!: We bought this when my daughter turned 4. She is now 5 and brings this video to us to watch, she has watch it sooo many times. This video is fun and informative for kids w/o being to scary. I absolutely love it as a parent. It opens the avenue for discussion without being to overwhelming. Thanks a million. I will give it to friends for their kids.
- Terrific Product: Love this video. Every parent should own it and watch it with there children! There are too many things that could go wrong with "strangers". And this video makes it fun for kids to learn about their surroundings!
