- Outstanding bass: I have never heard bass like I have with these headphones. They are definitely worth the asking price.
Just a few things worth mentioning:
These are noise canceling headphones so the cord transmits sounds as it touches surfaces, but it's not a bother and you will get used to that quickly.
They are comfortable and fit snugly into the ear canal.
The only reason I give these a 4-star rating is because initially and every now and then thereafter I would hear a crackling noise in the right ear bud. I think it would be imperceptible to most people but I was listening for it closely and paying attention. I haven't noticed it lately.
This is my second pair after the first one broke after a year. The ear bud separated out and cord started cutting out. Although I blame this on eBay and counterfeit Chinese knockoffs of Sennheiser all over the web. So be careful where you buy and make sure you are getting the real Sennheiser, not a knockoff.
Buy retail, Amazon or Sennheiser direct. - Now iPhone compatible!: I just received this and I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. I want to post this review because CX-300 is now genuinely iphone compatible.
Other thoughts: It's much smaller than I expected it to be. - These sound nice: I've had these for a while now...they still work and sound fantasic. Give them a while to break in and you're good to go.
- Asymetical lengths: For those complaining about the uneven cord lengths, the longer cord is intended to go behind your neck. (RTFM) This gives better support for the buds so they don't get tugged out. It's an innovative idea that addresses one of my biggest gripes about buds.
These also have longer 3.5mm jacks to fit the iPhone.
- Excellent ear-buds at a Great price!: These are quality ear-buds...superb across the board in every way over the standard Apple buds that come w/ iPods. They offer sounds I didn't know existed in the recordings, they're very comfortable, offer 2 ear-bud sizes...upgrade your buds, it's a no brainer.
