Product Description: Netgear's SPH150D Accessory Handset Cordless Phone with Skype enables you to add another handset to your SPH200D Skype cordless phone system. You can use the dual-mode cordless phone to make landline and Internet Skype calls without a PC. DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) cordless phone technology uses 1.8/1.9 GHz bands, which avoids interfering with WiFi networks unlike some other cordless for long range and clear voice quality.

very very bad. please dont ever buy it. intead buy linksys - It works: The product worked as advertised and provides me with the flexibility of combining my Skype and landline numbers on a single instrument, and cordless ability too. Simple to use, works well, and has excellent voice quality.
- Great telephone!: I've bought this phone as a second handset, have been using it for more than three weeks now and love it. Very easy to use and the sound quality even with other countries is very good.
Since I use it mostly with the Skype funtcion to talk to family and friends in Europe it is really worth it. What I like most is that it always asks you if you want to call with the landline or Skype so you never forget to use the right one. After the 14 hours charging time for the handsets, my son and I got this set up (base station plus 2 handsets) in 15 minutes and not a glicthe since.. been running two days. I like that the handsets replace the landline handsets ( all in one !) but now everyone in the family can easily access the cheap long distance.
Still working out issues with voice messaging and SkypeIn.. but that is with Skype service not these handsets.
- No perfect, but good enough: This is a little expensive, but it has already paid for itself by allowing me to cancel my land line phone.
If you're not a techie, or expect things to perfectly perfect all the time (like they were back in the days when dinosaurs roamed the Earth), then this phone (or Skype) are not for you. I've had this system for a year, and I can only count 3-4 times that it hasn't worked as expected.
I would not recommend it as your only phone, but as a backup/alternative to my cell phone it does a great job. My cost for land line service has dropped from $500 a year to $60.
