JAPANESE SIGN FINAL SURRENDER, 1945: the signing of the Japanese surrender documents aboard the battleship Missouri on Sept. 2, 1945. FIRST PICTURES INSIDE BOMB BLASTED JAPAN, 1945: 1. Aerial views and close-ups of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Osaka, Kure, and Tokyo. Americans are liberated from Japanese prison camps. 2. President Truman, Mrs. Truman, and Baseball Commissioner Chandler at a baseball game in Griffith Stadium, Washington, D.C. 3. General Jonathan Wainwright receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor from President Truman. JAPANESE SURRENDER MORE TERRITORY, 1945: 1. Japanese surrender documents arrive at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. Japanese surrender to the Chinese at Chingkiang. The surrenders of Marcus Island aboard the destroyer and of the last Japanese holdings in the Philippines. 2. Traitor Vidkun Quisling is sentenced at Oslo, Norway. 3. Gen. Clark reviews a parade as the allies occupy Vienna. 4. The 1st Cavalry Division enters Tokyo. B-29'S FLY FROM JAPAN TO CHICAGO IN 25 HRS., 1945: 1. Gens. O'Donnell and LeMay land at the Chicago airport and later at Washington, D.C. 2.Hurricane devastation in Florida. 3. President Truman presents the Distinguished Service Cross to Sec. Of War Stimson. Sgt. Joe Louis receives the Legion of Merit at Fort Hamilton, New York. Madame Chiang Kai-shek lands at Chungking and is greeted by the Generalissimo. British soldiers round up snipers in Hong Kong. The surrender of the Japanese Wake Island garrison. NEW TARGET PLANE IS CONTROLLED BY RADIO, 1945: 1. Radio-controlled target airplanes are constructed and fired upon. 2. The 7th Inf. Div. Enters Seoul, Korea, and the Japanese troops in Korea surrender to Gen. John R. Hodge. 3. Premier Tojo in Yokohama after attempting suicide. 4. Wild horses are rounded up in Canada for shipment to Europe. 5. Ambassador Braden explains the Argentine question. An anti-Peron demonstration in Buenos Aires. 6. The liner Europa docks at New York City with returning veterans. Returning POWs land at San Francisco. SAILING SHIP "DANMARK" GOES HOME AGAIN, 1945: 1. The Cost Guard's Danmark departs for Denmark. 2. Pres. Truman presents the Medal of Honor to marines and sailors. 3. Teams plant underwater demolitions prior to an attack on the Borneo coast. 4. Sec. Of State Byrnes reports on the Foreign Ministers meeting in London. 5. Courtroom scenes of the trial at Luneberg, of Nazis who served at the Belsen prison camp. Includes scenes of the atrocities. 6.
