Album Description: 2008 UK compilation from the hit Country trio. Rascal Flatts is one of the most consistently awarded music acts in history. This collection shows the accumulated success of their studio albums of their incredible career. Rascal Flatts find themselves firmly atop the music world. Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney have scaled unbelievable heights since their debut. Their 2006 tour played to over one million fans in 74 cities, with 61 of those appearances sellouts, including those in L.A.'s Staples Center, New York's Madison Square Garden, and Nashville's Sommet Center. They broke venue attendance records throughout the tour. 14 tracks including 'Take Me There', 'Life Is A Highway', 'What Hurts The Most' (Hot Mix) and many others. EMI. 2008.Amazon.com: No doubt, these suburban cowboys play country music for Friday-afternoon drive times and Saturday nights at the mall, not the honky-tonk, the ranch, or the porch. With harmonies as squeaky-clean as their faces, Rascal Flatts relish the pop and lite-groove direction that the genre has taken at the turn of the century. In fact, they seem to take pride in their distance from hard-core country roots. To their credit, this trio of earnest young men sounds as if they are truly enjoying themselves as they run through their bouncy, bubbly love songs. And at least these boys don't pay lip service to keeping country traditions alive in 2000. Heck, they even find the fact that their label has "the power of Disney" behind it "really exciting." If you're looking for music with instantly digestible pop melodies, tight harmonies, and very little grit, Rascal Flatts will delight you and they will most likely delight their Disney-backed label, who's obviously taken aim squarely at the teenage market. Goes down as easy as a milkshake--a nonfat milkshake. --Marc Greilsamer

Customer Reviews:

  • Rascal Flatts: I purchased this cd to replace one that was ruined over time. I was glad to receive this in a timely fashion and to have the ability to enjoy it again.
  • good songs: I had to buy this album after hearing "prayin for daylight" on the radio, I couldnt get enough of that song. "Everyday love" is great, there are others that are good as well. If you are thinking about getting this CD
go for it, you will enjoy it. THere are a few Upbeat songs and more slow love songs.
  • Rascal Flatts: I was very satisfied with this CD it was in the condition promised, and I've already really enjoyed listening to it. Kitten
  • Rascal Flatts is great...: This album doesn't have as many hits as their others, but it is definitely vintage Rascal Flatts. I love every one of their CDs and this one is no different. Great vocals, instrumentals, and lyrics.
  • All about my relationship: This album, scattered here and there and on the radio --- my poor lover, John and me -- lived many of these songs in our relationship when The Flatts were just starting out. He took his life on January 25th, 2007 after years of impenetrable manic depression....he always loved "I'm Movin' On" -- it was his 'always in the back of his mind' plan to take his own life. I had bought the sheet music and played it sometimes on the piano. And "While You Loved Me" was his tribute to me, or I'd like to think so. We held hands often listening to these songs on day trips. Although sometimes the stretch in high notes in the lead singer's voice annoys me, I aways appreciated the lyrics. I bought the album for it's sad ballads and to sift through the pain of it all. Need to do that -- because I'm movin' on, too -- I have to. I'm still alive without my Baby bear.
